As usual, Penang Snake Temple will celebrate the birthday of Chor Soo Kong（清水祖师）on the 6th of Chinese New Year. This is one of the most happening event for Chinese community in Penang. Snake Temple is located at Bayan Lepas, on the way towards Bayan Lepas International Airport and inside Bayan Lepas Industrial Park. This is one of the famous and oldest temple with present of life snake in the temple with its history since 1873. It was due to the temple is located in the coconut farm before the development of free trade zone.
This is the main stage of event.
This is the stage for Chinese Opera located just right in front of the temple entrance. It is said to entertain the visitors and gods.
Prayers are busy in praying and making wishes.
“Green Snake”, a type of pit viper who is the host of the temple. Visitors are not allowed to touch the snake.

“Snake Dance”, modified from Dragon Dance as 2013 is a Snake Year in Lunar Calendar.
